Modifying product details in a quote

You can modify the details of the products in the quote by clicking the Products tab in the Quote Details screen.

The Products tab displays information about the products added to the quote, such as the identifier of the product, quantity, unit price, adjustment, line total, and so on. The total number of lines on a page is displayed at the bottom of that page. By default, the first 100 lines are displayed. Click Get More Records to retrieve the next set of lines, and click Get All Records to retrieve all the lines in the quote. You can sort the lines by the Product and Quantity in either an ascending order or a descending order. For example, to sort the lines by Quantity in an ascending order, move the pointer over the Quantity column, and then select Sort Ascending in the drop-down list.

Note: When you sort the lines, the sorting takes place on the server side. Therefore, when you sort the lines, all the products that are added to the quote are considered for sorting. If there are any unsaved changes in the lines, and you try to sort the lines, a warning message is displayed.

The following table describes the fields displayed under the Products tab:

Field Description
Pricing Date The pricing date of the quote. The prices of the products in the quote are calculated based on this date.
Adjustments The adjustments applied to the quote. To view the adjustment breakdown for the quote, move the pointer over this field. The Price Breakdown dialog box displays the profit margin, manual adjustments, and the automatic adjustments applied to the quote.
Total The quote total.
Image The image of the product.
Product The details of the product.
  • Use the View Notes icon to manage the notes for a product.
  • Use the Bundle Component icon to adjust the component pricing of a bundle product.
  • Use the Configurable Product icon to configure a product.
  • Use the Re-configurable Product icon to re-configure a product.
Quantity The quantity of the product is displayed along with the product's unit of measure (UOM).
Unit Price The unit price of the product.
Additional Charges The additional charges of the product is displayed as a hyperlink. You can view the following details:
  • Click the additional charges hyperlink to display the Upfront Charges which are immediately billed on order. The Upfront Charges dialog box displays the charge name and the amount that is applied to the line.
  • Click the Non Upfront Charges icon to view the non-upfront charges. The Non Upfront Charges dialog box displays the charge name and the amount that is applied to the line.
Note: The additional charges is displayed only if you have enabled the multi-price type for an enterprise in Sterling™ Business Center. Adjustment The adjustments applied to the line. To view the adjustment breakdown for a line, move the pointer over this field. The Price Breakdown dialog box displays the profit margin, manual adjustments, and the automatic adjustments and the price type that is applied to the line.
Line Total The line total. This is the total price for the line that is calculated after taking into consideration the unit price, quantity, up-front charges, and the adjustments applied to the line.
