Viewing logs for uploading customization

Users with the Developer role can view the detailed logs in Self Service for the process of uploading customization. The log displays status of all the stages of the upload process.

Note: The upload logs for your environment are available for 90 days. Hence, you may not see any logs that are older than 90 days.

About this task

When you upload the JAR file, the file is scanned and only if the scan is successful, the file is uploaded in Self Service and is then available for deployment. You can upload a file up to 1 GB. The file scan status is available in the upload customization log.

Procedure

  1. Access Self Service with your IBMid.
  2. From the Self Serve menu, select Environments.

    The Environments dashboard is displayed.

  3. From the list of environments, select an environment.
  4. In the Customizations tab, click the Packages tab.
  5. From the table of uploaded jar files, expand a table row to view details of the uploaded jar file.
  6. Click the View report button.
    When you view the log for packages, you can view the logs for the JAR files that are uploaded on the system by using Self Service. The logs include the status of upload, scan, and the file being available for deployment after the successful upload.

    Errors, if any, are displayed under each stage in the log file.
