Define contact information of a business customer

As a System Administrator or an Enterprise Administrator, you can define or modify the existing contact information of a business customer using the Customer Detail screen.

About this task

Note: The fields marked with * in the Customer Detail screen are mandatory.

To define contact information of a business customer, use the following procedure:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Customer Search screen. To navigate to the Customer Search screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling™ Business Center as an administrator.
    2. From the Customer Home page, click Find Customer in the Customer dashlet.

      The Customer Search screen is displayed.

  2. In the Basic Customer Search panel, select Business Customer.
  3. Enter applicable search criteria and click the Search icon. A list of customers displays.
  4. Click the Customer ID of the business customer whose details you want to modify, in the Customer List panel. The Customer Detail screen in displayed.
  5. Click the Contact tab.
  6. Click the Add button to add the address details for the business customer. The Contact dialog box is displayed. Perform the following:
    1. In the First Name box, enter the first name of the contact.
    2. In the Last Name box, enter the last name of the contact.
    3. In the Middle Name box, enter the middle name of the contact.
    4. In the Title drop-down, select the title to address the contact.
    5. In the E-mail Address box, enter the e-mail address of the contact.
    6. In the Mobile Phone box, enter the mobile phone number of the contact.
    7. In the Day Phone box, enter the day time phone number of the contact.
    8. In the Evening Phone box, enter evening phone number of the contact.
    9. In the Day Fax box, enter the day fax number of the contact.
    10. In the Evening Fax box, enter the evening fax number of the contact.
    11. In the Job Title box, enter the job title of the contact.
    12. In the Department box, enter the department name to which the contact belongs
    13. In the Spending Limit box, enter the spending limit of the contact, if defined.
    14. From the Currency drop-down, select the currency in which the transactions of the contact take place.
    15. In the Date of Birth box, enter the date of birth of the contact. Alternatively, click the Calendar icon to select the date from the calendar. The date format displayed depends on your locale.
    16. In the Wedding Anniversary box, enter the wedding date of the contact, if the contact is married. Alternatively, click the Calendar icon to select the date from the calendar. The date format displayed depends on your locale.
    17. In the Spouse DOB box, enter the date of birth of the contact's spouse, if the contact is married. Alternatively, click the Calendar icon to select the date from the calendar. The date format displayed depends on your locale.
    18. Click Save in the Contact dialog box.

      To remove a contact, select the check box adjacent to the contact details and then click the Remove button.

  7. Click Save to save the contact details for the business customer.
