Searching for nodes

The Nodes page provides a convenient, single view into all the nodes that you can manage. You can search for specific nodes to view node metrics and key performance indicators. You can also complete various actions on the nodes such as change a node capacity, reassign pending shipments to other available nodes, and turn nodes on or off.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. Click Nodes (Nodes) from the menu.
  3. Enter search criteria.
    • To view all nodes, leave all fields blank.
    • You can change the Search by option to show different fields based on what you want to search.
    • You can click Customize search criteria to modify search fields that display on the page.
    • You can click Save search to save the search criteria for future use. After you save, you can reload by clicking Saved searches at the top of the page and select your saved search.
  4. Click Search.
The Nodes search result displays nodes that match your search criteria.
The following table lists the details that are displayed for each node.
Table 1. List of available nodes
    Field Description
    Node ID The node ID.
    Node name The node name.
Status Available for configurations with Global Inventory Visibility only.
    • Status of the node, whether On or Off.
    • On indicates that the node is active. When turned off, no new orders are assigned to the node. However, a fulfillment manager can revise the node capacity when the node is off; and reassign the orders to other available nodes.
Ship status Available for integrations with IBM® Sterling™ Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility only.
Pickup status Available for integrations with IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility only.
    • Indicates whether the pickup fulfillment option is enabled.
    • You can change fulfillment options by selecting the checkbox on a row and clicking Set fulfillment options
    • A dash (-) under the status column indicates that the node does not exist under the connected IV tenant. Check if the nodes in OMS are synced to IV and integrated correctly.
Ship capacity The capacity for orders that require shipping.
Pickup capacity The capacity for orders that require pickup.
Total capacity The sum of ship capacity and pickup capacity.
If you configure non-standard capacity for a node, the Node details page displays the non-standard capacity values.
    Note:
    • If Ship capacity, Pickup capacity, and Total capacity columns all contain a dash (-), then the node is not associated with a resource pool. Therefore, no capacity. For more information, see Create a resource pool .
    • If both Ship capacity and Pickup capacity contain a dash (-), but a value exists in the Total capacity column, then the node uses a shared resource pool and shares capacity.
    • If both Ship capacity and Pickup capacity contain values, but Total capacity contains a dash (-), then the node is associated with resource pools that use different capacity units of measure. Therefore the system cannot calculate the total capacity.
Parent organization The parent organization that the node belongs to.
Node type The type of node. For example Store or Distribution center.
Country The country where the node resides.
Note: The capacities for all nodes are set in terms of units or releases and are indicated on the screen. Valid values for capacity UOM are:
    • Unit - If the ship from store and store pickup capacity is measured in terms of item quantities.
    • Release - If the shipping or store pickup capacity is measured in terms of a release. A release can be a combination of multiple units, released together.
  5. In the Search criteria panel, you can update the criteria or save the criteria for future searches.
  6. Click a node name to view more details.
The Node details page displays a summary of the shipments that are sent to this node and other metrics that you can use to understand the performance of the node.
