Override transfer schedule between nodes
You can override the transfer schedule by setting the yfs.overrideTransferScheduleForProc property to true.
You can override transfer schedule in the following ways.
By using a carrier service
You can configure a carrier service for Node Transfer Schedule. If configured, then for the transit time and date calculations, the configured carrier service is used instead of transfer schedule.
For example, consider a transfer schedule that is defined between the Nashua and Boston
warehouses with the carrier service as
Groundwith the following conditions:
- Both warehouses work 5 days a week with Saturday and Sunday being off.
- Both nodes work from 08:00 to 20:00 hrs.
- Transfer schedule ship days are Monday through Friday with cut off time as 17:00 hrs.
- Transit time between nodes is 48 hours.
- Product availability at Nashua warehouse is
onhand
. - Execution date is April 4th, 2024 15:00 hrs.
- Carrier service is
Ground
. - Carrier service transit time is 2 days.
- Carrier service transfers Monday through Friday.
- Carrier service delivers Monday through Friday.
- Carrier pick up schedule at Nashua warehouse is 19:00 hrs Monday through Friday.
In this example, the product is shipped from the Nashua warehouse on Thursday, 4 April 2023 at 19:00 hrs and arrives at the Boston warehouse on Monday, 8 April 2023 at 19:00 hrs.
Note: The transfer, delivery, and pick up schedules for the carrier service must match the calendar
of the warehouses.
