Creating an asset type

You can create an asset type.

1. From the tree in the application rules side panel, choose Catalog Configurations > Asset > Asset Types. The Asset Types window displays in the work area.
2. Choose the Create New icon. The Asset Type Details pop-up window displays.
3. In Asset Type, enter the value you want to use for the asset type.
   Note: If you are defining an asset type for an image and want to allow the IBM® Sterling™ Business Center administrator to preview the corresponding image from the IBM Sterling Business Center, ensure that the value for the asset type starts with "Image". For example, if you are defining an asset type for small images, you could specify the asset type's value as "Imagesmallpicture" or "Image_small".
4. In Short Description, enter a brief description of the asset type.
5. In Long Description, enter a more detailed description of the asset type.
6. Choose the Save icon.
