Specifying time zones

In Sterling™ Order Management System, date and time are time zone aware. The time zone setting is relative to the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

The yfs.install.localecode parameter in the yfs.properties file determines the application time zone. For Sterling Order Management System, the value is set to yfs.install.localecode=en_US_UTC. You can override the property to set a different locale, but IBM ensures that the time zone is set to UTC.

Note: The localecode must be set to UTC only, otherwise the application does not start.
