Error rate alerts

As a Systems Integrator, you can create or update different types of Order Management System error rate alerts.

Alert types and descriptions

See the following OMS error rate alerts and its details:
OMS Application Server Error Rate
This metric monitors the error rate on the application server, enabling early detection of high-error-rate conditions. A common scenario involves failures in real-time calls originating from external systems due to invalid input or configuration issues.
Operating under elevated error rates can adversely affect both the stability and performance of the application. It is essential to receive timely notifications of such conditions to investigate and resolve the underlying causes promptly.
Agent/Integration Server Error Rate
This metric measures the error rate on the Agent or Integration server, allowing for the prompt detection of high-error-rate conditions. A common example is an error state that disrupts the order lifecycle progression like preventing orders from advancing through statuses like Created, Scheduled, or Released.
Elevated error rates on these servers can compromise overall system stability and performance. Immediate alerts and issue resolution are crucial for maintaining operational integrity.

Alert types and threshold conditions

See the following table to know the alert type and the sample threshold:
Table 1. Alert types and sample threshold conditions
Alert types Threshold conditions
OMS Application Server Error Rate Error rate is greater than or equal to 10% and at least 100 transactions impacted within a 5-minute period
Agent/Integration Server Error Rate Error rate is greater than or equal to 10% and at least 100 transactions impacted within a 5-minute period
