OIDC Authentication

The IBM Sterling® Order Management System includes IBMid authentication and supports OIDC authentication such as Okta and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). This allows the business users to access Sterling™ Order Management System web applications such as the Sterling Business Center, IBM® Sterling Call Center, IBM Sterling Store Engagement, or Sterling Field Sales, and web-based tools such as HTTP API Tester, DB Query Client, and HTTP REST XAPI Tester.

How to enable OIDC authentication?

To use OIDC for authentication, you must enable OIDC authentication for the Sterling Order Management System environment.

To enable OIDC in a Sterling Order Management System environment, follow the steps in this procedure, OpenID Connect (OIDC) configuration.

After you enable OIDC account for the Sterling Order Management System environment, you must link the OIDC account to the Sterling Order Management System user. For more information, see Linking the OIDC account to an IBM Sterling Order Management System user.
