Creating a shipment

You can manually create shipments in your system for shipments (ASNs) that arrive from fax, e-mail, telephone, or for trailers that arrive with no prior notice. You can create shipments for order lines that are in the Released status.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. Click Orders from the menu.
    Click the applicable order type (Outbound, Inbound, Returns) for the shipment that you want to create.
  3. You can create a shipment from various places, depending on the lines that you want to add to the shipment.
    • Create a shipment to include all the order lines in an existing order release:
      1. Search for an order release for which you want to create a shipment.
      2. If you are on the Order release search results page, select a checkbox next to the release (or open the overflow menu 3 vertical dots) and click Create shipment from release.
      3. If you are on the Order release details page, click Actions > Create shipment from release.
      A single shipment is created with all the lines that are included in the release.
    • Create a shipment and choose the order lines to include:
      1. Search for an order for which you want to create a shipment.
      2. If you are on the Order search results page, select a checkbox next to the order (or open the overflow menu 3 vertical dots) and click Create shipment from lines.
      3. If you are on the Order details page, click Actions > Create shipment from lines.
      4. Complete the Create shipment options.
        Field Description
        Shipment number (Optional) The shipment number to use. If you do not specify a value, then a number is generated for you.
        Allow overages Enable this option if you need to specify a Ship quantity that is greater than the Available quantity.
      5. Select the order lines that you want to include and set the item quantity to add to the shipment.
      6. Click Create.
