Creating a report/record receipt
You can use the Report/record receipt action to record paper-based
receipt details when receiving inbound shipments (for inbound purchase orders, transfer orders, or
returns).
Procedure
- Log in to Order Hub.

Search for the order or shipment for which you want to record a receipt.
- If you have return order information, click Orders > Returns from the menu.
- If you have return shipment information, click Shipments > Returns.
- If you have inbound purchase order or transfer order information, click Orders > Inbound.
- Select a search result to get to the details page.
- Click Actions > Report/Record receipt.

If a receipt is not started and open, you need to specify the receipt header details.
Receipt information
Field Description Receipt # (Optional) The receipt number to use. If you do not enter a value, the system automatically generates a unique number. Receiving node (Required) The node that is receiving the shipment. Enterprise The enterprise that is associated with the receipt. Pro number (Optional) The unique progressive or serial number that is assigned by the carrier to identify and track a specific shipment. Receipt date The receipt start date. The default value is today. Buyer The buying organization. Seller The selling organization. No. of pallets (Optional) The number of pallets. If you do not specify a number, the value is set to 0. No. of cases (Optional) The number of cases. If you do not specify a number, the value is set to 0. -
Specify the lines and quantities that you are receiving.
Table 1. Lines to receive Field Description Shipment line The shipment line number. Return number The return number to which the shipment belongs. Release number The return release number to which the shipment belongs. Item ID The line item that you are receiving. UOM The item's unit of measure. PC The item's product class. Total quantity The total quantity contained in the shipment line. Received quantity The quantity that was received before this record. Quantity to be received The quantity available for receiving. Disposition code The disposition code is automatically populated by the system from the receiving rules. Modify the disposition code, if applicable. Receiving quantity The quantity that you are receiving. -
Click Save.
After you save, a receipt record appears in the Receipts tab. The status changes based on the received quantity that you entered.
- After receiving all the required quantities, use the Close receipt action to close the receipt.
