Authorizing returns

If a return order is configured to need authorization, you can manually authorize the return through Order Hub. When a return is authorized, the return order moves from the awaiting authorization status to the next applicable status in the pipeline.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. Click Orders > Returns from the menu.
  3. Search for the return order that you want to authorize.
  4. Authorize the return.
You can authorize from various places.
    • From the Return search results page:
      • Select a checkbox next to the order and then click Authorize.
      • Click the overflow menu at the end of the row (image) and then click Authorize.
    • From the Return details page, click Actions > Authorize.
  5. Select an option in the Authorization drop status drop-down menu.
    • Authorized: Authorizes the transaction and changes the order status to Authorized. The order is now ready for the next step in the order pipeline.
    • Not authorized: Keeps the return in the Awaiting Authorization status. Any alerts that are configured upon non-authorization of a return are sent out.
  6. Optional: Add notes or a reason code as needed.
  7. Click Save.
