Adding an appointment

Add or change an appointment to schedule the date and time to perform the service request. For example, a work order includes a television wall mount installation service. You can check the service availability and schedule a resource to complete the installation.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. Click Orders > Work orders.
  3. Find the work order for which you need to add an appointment.
  4. Click the work order name to go to the Work order details page.
  5. To add a new appointment, click Add appointment from the Open appointments table. To change an appointment, select the checkbox next to an existing appointment and then click Change appointment.
  6. Specify appointment options and then click Update calendar to see available slots.
    Resource pool
    Select a resource pool.
    Resource ID
    Select the resource that will perform the service.
    Consider supplemental capacity
    Include supplemental capacity when determining available appointment slots.
    Ignore node notification time
    Ship nodes generally require a certain notification time for them to be able process a service request. If this service is a high priority service request, you can select this option to ignore the minimum notification time for the node.
    Ignore product availability
    Show available appointment slots even if the product is not available. By default, if a product is not available during an appointment slot, that slot is not available.
    Allow slots with insufficient capacity
    Show all appointment slots, including slots with insufficient capacity.
    Requested capacity
    Specify the capacity that is needed for this appointment. This field is available only for work orders that require multiple appointments.
    The entire requested capacity minus the allocated capacity from other appointments appears in this field. Adjust the value based on the needs of this appointment. For example, assume that the entire work order has a requested capacity of 20 hours and needs three appointments. You can set this appointment to allocate 5 hours.

    The requested capacity can be zero but cannot be negative.

    This field cannot be modified for single appointment work orders since the entire requested capacity is allocated for the single appointment.
  7. Choose an available time slot and then click Save.
