Handling inventory synchronization

Inventory synchronization is the process of updating the inventory picture in your IBM Sterling® Order Management System or any third-party Sterling™ Order Management System system with actual inventory at the nodes.

When inventory is synchronized, the quantities of inventory that is available across all channels are updated.

Inventory is synchronized by using the Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility REST API. For more information, see the Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility documentation.
