Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility integration prerequisites

Before you begin to configure Sterling™ Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility Sterling Order Management System for integrating with Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility, complete the prerequisites.

  • Ensure that the tenants are onboarded to Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility. For the onboarded tenants, configure the ship nodes, distribution groups, and thresholds by calling the corresponding APIs.   • For the inventory types that exists in Sterling Order Management System, ensure that the corresponding supply and demand custom types are created in Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility. For more information about creating the custom supply and demand inventory types in Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility, see Creating extended demand types in Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility.
  • Ensure that you are provided with the login credentials such as client ID, client secret, and tenant ID to call Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility REST APIs.     Note:
    • One inventory organization maps to one tenant ID. Therefore, run the activation script for the combination of one tenant and one organization.
    • It is recommended that before creating any transaction data such as supply and demand, set up the configuration data that includes ship nodes, distribution groups, and thresholds.
