Sterling Logistics Management

This application Provides the capabilities for managing and executing an inbound or outbound delivery process.

IBM® Sterling Logistics Management enables you to manage your entire delivery process. It accepts, stores, and manages the execution of a delivery plan accounting for complex movement of goods, such as merge-in-transit, continuous movement, lane optimization and cross-docking. Sterling Logistics Management coordinates all activities in the delivery chain and monitors events and notifies participants when deviations occur. Shipment and delivery records are tied to the original sales or purchase orders for management of dependencies among orders and shipments.

Logistics Management involves planning and monitoring order line level shipping processes so that an order is shipped when and how a customer wants it to be shipped.

With Sterling Logistics Management, you can establish how shipping planning considerations should be assessed and you can increase the efficiency of your delivery planning by establishing conditions and processes for interacting with your buyers.
