Considerations
When you are migrating from Release 9.3 to Release 10.0, there are some changes to remember, including behavioral changes and techncial changes in APIs, agents, user exits, events, and the database.

reference installers for less popular legacy operating systems. For more information about the list
of supported operating systems, refer to the IBM Support Portal.
The installation packages are provided to help customers who are transitioning to supported platforms. Please contact IBM technical support for information about installers that are not on the list of officially supported systems.
- <INSTALL_DIR>
- This variable represents the user-supplied location of the installation directory (Release 9.3 and later) for the current runtime.
- <INSTALL_DIR_OLD>
- This variable represents the user-supplied location of the installation directory (Release 9.3 and later) for the old runtime.
Table 1 describes the upgrade paths followed by the system internally when upgrading from Release 9.3 (or later) to Release 10.0. If you are upgrading from Release 9.3 (or later) to Release 10.0, you can upgrade in nonsharded or sharded mode.
