Configuring cross application logistics rules

Any transaction between the buyer and the seller is expected to follow a sequence like creating a shipment, load, and transit updates.

Most often this sequence is not followed and the buyer receives the information in a more random sequence. Often, without having an existing shipment, a shipment cannot be added to a load. But, by enabling this logistics rule, some unique attributes of the shipment can be added to a load even without an existing shipment, such as:

  • ShipmentNo, ShipNode, and SellerOrganizationCode
  • BOLNo and ShipNode
  • PRONo and ShipNode

The getLoadDetails API returns these shipment attributes from the load shipment.
