Deploying Order Service
Order Service is deployed by using Operators that enables faster deployment and scalability.
For more information about Operators, see Installing Sterling Order Management System Software by using Operator.
The archive and save requests from Sterling Order Management System Software reaches the Order Service deployment pods through services. A pod contains the Order Service image that is deployed as a container. The Operator image is pulled from IBM Cloud Open Registry. For production deployment, bring your own Cassandra and Elasticsearch instances. The Order Service Operator installs Cassandra and Elasticsearch in development mode for quick-and-easy evaluation. The Order Service Operator controls the deployment based on Custom Resource Definition (CRD). For more information about the Order Service CRD, see Order Service Custom Resource.
The Order Service Operand deployment is supported on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform.
