What's new for advanced B2B capabilities
The IBM Sterling Order Management technical preview for advanced B2B capabilities program introduces important new features and enhancements regularly.
The new features and enhancements are released in phases during the technical preview program. View the most recent advanced B2B features and enhancements in this What's new topic. The most recent features are listed first.
Note: Each time a new version of the preview developer toolkit (DTK) is released, a fresh
installation is required. If you already installed the preview developer toolkit and want to import
your configurations to the latest version, use the configuration deployment tool (CDT).

This release of the IBM Sterling Order Management technical preview for advanced B2B capabilities program added the following features.
- Selecting buyer accounts for multiple seller accounts is supported
- You can now select buyer accounts under multiple enterprise seller accounts. For more information, see Editing an account list.
- Top 5 products with backorders chart supports real data
- The top 5 products with backorders chart now supports real data. For more information, see Viewing the top five products with backorders.
- Create contract orders
- Account managers can create a B2B contract order for accounts. For more information, see Creating contract orders.
- Filter contract lines
- Account managers can search and filter contract lines. For more information, see Filtering data.
- Contract order sample data is available to upload
- You can now upload contract order sample data to your dashboard. For more information, see Modifying the dashboard data for demo purposes.

This initial release of the IBM Sterling Order Management technical preview for advanced B2B capabilities program includes the following features.
- New account dashboard
- The initial release includes a new account dashboard that has seven sections to show KPIs. These
KPIs help account managers to analyze sales data and order trends. Having access to these data
visualizations in real-time helps account managers to identify and address issues and opportunities
in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Viewing the data in the account dashboard provides
account managers with insights so that they can make data-driven decisions and proactively tackle
potential issues. The dashboard KPIs that are available in the initial release are as follows.
- Order status (supports real data integration)
- Contract order totals
- One-time order totals (supports real data integration)
- Top 5 products with backorders
- Return reasons (supports real data integration)
- Cancellation reasons (supports real data integration)
- Recent and future shipments in the next 15 days
Note: Four of the dashboard KPIs support real data processing (Order status, One-time order totals, Return reasons, and Cancellation reasons). The other dashboard KPIs display sample data.For more information about the account dashboard KPIs, see Account management.
- Account setup
- Administrators can set up the list of accounts that account managers can select to view from their account dashboard. This feature pertains to preview DTKs that use real data. For more information, see Setting up the list of accounts.
- Account dashboard customization
- Administrators can customize the account dashboard to make sure that it meets the account managers' specific needs. By customizing the dashboard, you can create a tailored experience that focuses on what matters while you boost productivity. Having a view of prioritized data on the dashboard helps to improve timely decision making. This feature pertains to preview DTKs that use real data. - Contract order management
- A B2B contract order outlines the agreement between a buyer and a seller for the supply of goods or services over a specified period. With this release, account managers can view contract order lists, contract order details, and contract order lines. This visibility into contract orders helps them to track how orders are progressing and help ensure timely fulfillment that meets their customers' expectations.
