Fixed price promotions

In addition to specifying a discount percentage or an absolute discount for promotions, you can also specify a fixed price or cost. In this way, you can make final prices for a product or group of products constant for a period of time, regardless of any changes in unit price, additional price, or price list definitions. These are tracked as discounts on unit price and price types. When the adjustment type is Fixed Price and Specify price types is enabled, then only one price type is supported.

The following table shows examples of how fixed price promotions can apply to an item or a combination of items in an order.
