Failed to change user class

About this task

If you get the error, "Failed to change the User Class. Unable to access the user profile creator. Incomplete catalog login information for user class", when running reports through the browser, you need to embed a user id and password in the catalog.

To embed a database user id and password in a catalog:

Procedure

  1. Open the catalog in IBM® Cognos® Analytics.
  2. Select Catalog > Profiles from the main menu.
  3. Select the Database tab.
  4. For each User Class, in the Database Security Options section, select Database Logon and supply a database id and password.
