Creating a payment rule

You can create a payment rule, by using the Create Payment Rule screen.

Note: The fields marked with * are mandatory.

To create a payment rule:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Create Payment Rule screen. To navigate to the Create Payment Rule screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling Business Center as a system administrator or a system setup administrator.
    2. From the System Setup home page, expand the Payments menu, and then click Manage Payment Rules.
    3. The Payment Rules Search screen is displayed. In the Payment Rules Search screen, click Create Payment Rule in the Related Task Panel.

  2. In the Payment Rule ID* box, enter a unique identifier for the payment rule. The Payment Rule ID, which is used to identify the payment type, must be unique for the organization. The maximum number of characters you can enter is 20 characters.
  3. In the Description* box, enter a brief description of the payment rule. The maximum number of characters you can enter is 100 characters.
  4. Click Save.
