Business intelligence is the capability of gathering, storing, and analyzing data stored in various applications to help customers take intelligent and informed decisions about conducting their business.

Sterling™ Order Management System Software includes business intelligence solutions that extract information from various applications used by an enterprise, analyze the data, and generate reports with the help of IBM Cognos® reporting tools. The following business intelligence offerings range from reporting transactional and operational data to analytical reporting capabilities.

The Analytic Applications, which includes Cognos® Adaptive Warehouse and IBM Cognos Adaptive Warehouse Runtime are no longer supported with IBM® Cognos Analytics 11.0.9. Therefore, the user interface to design and populate a target data warehouse is no longer available.

As part of these changes, the underlying components of the Sterling Business Intelligence reporting infrastructure have been reorganized.

A mapping document is provided along with Sterling Order Management System Software in order to help you to set up your data warehouse based on the Framework Manager models and the star schemas that are provided. Also, the sample data warehouse reports are now available only in the file system and can be viewed from the Analytics application.
