Purchase orders

In Sterling™ Order Management System Software, a purchase order can be broken down into three levels, the purchase order header level, purchase order line level, and purchase order release level.

The purchase order header level contains all of the purchase order lines in a purchase order, the purchase order line level is broken down by each individual purchase order line, and the purchase order release level contains all of the lines that have been released to a ship node.

A purchase order is made up of purchase order lines. A purchase order line is identified by a unique item, unit of measure, and product class.
