IBM containers

You can modernize and scale your enterprise software solutions across multiple environments with IBM® containers on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform.

IBM containers on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform offers a foundation for building and scaling containerized applications. Built with the industry-leading managed Kubernetes service, it provides speed and agility for organizations looking for quick-paced development processes, while also bringing significant savings in operational costs through containerized architecture models. Kubernetes is a container orchestration software that enable organizations to efficiently and securely manage their container environment at scale.

Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is an enterprise-ready Kubernetes container platform with full-stack automated operations to manage hybrid cloud and multi-cloud deployments. The projects in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform enables a community of users to organize and manage their content in isolation from other communities. Users must be granted with access to projects by administrators, or if allowed to create projects, users must automatically have access to their own projects. It is an orchestrated environment that provides strict security policies, built-in logging, routes to expose services, and management of container images.

The Sterling Order Management System Software images are Red Hat container certified and offer a more simple and efficient way to deploy, manage, and scale secure enterprise-grade software across multiple environments. For more information about the benefits of containerized applications, see the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform documentation.

IBM containers are separately licensed products and are available for Sterling Order Management System Software. For more information about the IBM containers part number to download, see the Downloading entitled packages.
Note: The Sterling Order Management System Software containers does not support SOAP-based web services.
