You, as an enterprise user, can modify the details pertaining to an approval rule
belonging to an enterprise.
About this task
You can modify
the date range within which an approval rule is effective, the status of an approval rule, the
conditions under which an approval rule will become applicable, and the result of the approval rule
if those conditions are met.
To modify the details of an approval rule:
Procedure
- Navigate to the
Approval Rule Summary screen. To navigate to the Approval Rule Summary
screen, perform the following steps:

Log in to Sterling Business Center as Pricing
Administrator.
- The application home page is displayed. Click the Pricing tab.
- From the Pricing home page, click Find
Approval Rule in the Quotes dashlet.
- The Approval Rule Search screen is displayed. Enter
the search criteria and click Search to perform
a basic search. Alternatively, click Advanced Search,
enter the search criteria, and click Search to
perform an advanced search.
- The approval rules matching the search criteria are
displayed. Click the Rule ID hyperlink or double-click
the row corresponding to the approval rule. The Approval Rule Summary
screen is displayed.
Note: If
only one approval rule matches the search criteria, the details of
the corresponding approval rule are automatically displayed.
- Modify the appropriate fields as follows:
- In the Associated Approval Plan panel of the Approval Rule
Summary screen, perform the following:
- Click Add to add an approval
plan to the approval rule for the quote. In the Add Approval
Plan dialog box that is displayed, perform the following:
- In the Approval Plans panel, select the check box adjacent to
the Approval Plan ID of the approval plan,
you want to add to the rule. The details of the approval plan are
displayed in the Approval Detail panel.
- Click Save in the Add Approval
Plan dialog box.
- To remove an approval plan, click on the check box adjacent
to the Approval Plan ID and then click Remove.
- Click Save in the Approval Rule
Summary screen.
