Order orchestration: services

Following services are provided for different stages of processing an order.

Order orchestration: validation services
After an order gets created successfully, validation is the first step in the order orchestration process. The validation process is triggered by successful creation of an order. IBM® Sterling™ Order Management System Software application uses a set of services for performing order validation.
Order orchestration: decomposition services
After an order has been validated successfully, order decomposition is the next step in the order orchestration process. The decomposition process is triggered by successful validation of an order. IBM Sterling Order Management System Software application uses a set of services for performing order decomposition.
Order orchestration: execution services
The decomposed set of orders are sent to the rules engine to get the execution dependencies defined between them. An integration server processes these dependencies and mark eligible orders as "Ready For Fulfillment". IBM Sterling Order Management System Software application uses a set of services for performing order execution or fulfillment.
Order orchestration: custom APIs
Certain custom APIs help in processing of rule-based orders. These custom APIs are exposed through SDF services.
