Updating the Contract Order Pipeline Determination Rule

The Sterling™ Order Management System v10 2506 FP2 release introduced a new Contract Order Process pipeline that standardizes and streamlines how contract orders are processed. The new pipeline improves performance and reliability. Updating the pipeline makes sure that your system is aligned with the latest platform standards.

About this task

The pipeline, ContractOrder Process (10.0) is the new default and the only pipeline that is officially supported for contract order processing after OMS v10 2506 FP2.

  • If you applied OMS v10 2506 FP2 directly, the new pipeline is already set as your default. You do not see the old pipeline. The Pipeline Determination rule for hub is updated with the new pipeline ContractOrder Process (10.0). No action is needed.
  • If you already installed OMS v10 2503 on your instance, installing OMS v10 2506 FP2 does not change your default pipeline. You need to configure the new pipeline as your default pipeline for processing contract orders.

Procedure

  1. Start Application Manager.
  2. Click Applications and then click Application platform > Process modelling and open Process modelling.
  3. Locate the Contract order document type under the Order base document type and open the Contract Order Process process type.
  4. On the Contract Order Process Repository page, click and expand Pipeline Determination and open Hub Rule.
  5. If you see Contract Order Process (10.0) listed, delete it.
  6. From the list of pipelines, drag ContractOrder Process (10.0) into the rule.
  7. Save the Pipeline determination rule for Hub UI.

All new contract orders now use the new pipeline.

Note: The old pipeline was renamed to Contract Order Process - Old - Do not use. Delete this pipeline. You cannot delete the pipeline if contract orders are present in system. If you have only draft contract orders, delete them. If contract orders are confirmed either cancel or close them.
