Execute a change request

After a Change Request is created and is activated, contributors can open the Change Request for further processing.

About this task

When the Change Request is being processed, the Change Request status is set to "Work in Progress" and it cannot be modified. The Change Request Details screen indicates the status of the Change Request.

To execute a Change Request:

Procedure

  1. Log in to Sterling Business Center as a Contributor.
  2. The application home page is displayed. The My Change Requests dashlet displays all the Change Requests that are assigned to you. Each displayed Change Request name is a hyperlink.
  3. Click the Change Request you want to work on. You can work on the Change Requests that are in "Open" status.
  4. The Change Request Details screen is displayed. To execute the task, click Start. When you start processing, the status of the Change Request is set to "Work in Progress".
  5. When you start the Change Request task, a status bar appears below the Sterling Business Center main menu indicating that the Change Request is being processed. The status bar displays the Change Request ID and short description. To view the details of the Change Request, click View Full Description from the status bar.
  6. When you complete the Change Request task, click Complete. When complete, the status of the Change Request is set to "Completed".
  7. To pause Change Request processing, click Stop. You can resume processing later, if required.
