You can define a range for a derived attribute so that the system displays
an item within the defined range when searching for the item.
About this task
For example, you can define a range for the Size attribute
of shirts as 32-36. Each shirt in the database is assigned to a particular
size range. When a customer searches for a particular shirt size,
the exact shirt size is mapped to the assigned range and all the shirts
within the range are displayed. Thus, when the customer enters 32-inch
as the search criteria for a shirt, all the shirts assigned in the
range of 32-36 inch are displayed.
