You can specify the values for all the extended fields from the Extended Fields
screen.
About this task
The extended fields displayed on the Extended Fields
screen are populated from the YFS_ITEM table. All the columns from
the extended YFS_ITEM table are displayed as fields on the Extended
Fields screen.
To assign values to the extended
fields for an item:
Procedure
- Navigate to the Extended Fields screen. To navigate to
the Extended Fields screen, perform the following steps:
- Log in to Sterling Business Center as an Item
Administrator.
- The application home page is displayed. Click the Products tab.
- From the Products home page,
click Find Item in the Catalog dashlet.
- In the Item Search screen, enter the search criteria,
and then click Search to view a list of all
the available items. Alternatively, use either the Basic Search or
the Advanced Search option to narrow down the list of items
displayed.
- In the Items panel that is displayed,
click the Item ID hyperlink. Alternatively, double-click the
row containing the Item ID.
- The Primary Information screen is displayed. In the Related
Tasks panel, click Manage Extended Fields.
The Extended Fields screen is displayed.
- Enter the values for the extended fields
that are displayed. However, if the extended field is associated to
a Classification Purpose, the Search icon is displayed adjacent
an extended field. Click the Search icon. A dialog box with
the classification values for the extended field is displayed. Perform
the following steps:
- Select a classification value from the
tree.
- Click Select to
select the classification and close the dialog box.
The classification value is displayed in the boxes
pertaining to extended fields.
- Click Save.
The values to the extended fields are assigned to an
item.
