Assign a provided service to a category

You can assign a provided service to a category from the Catalog Management screen.

To assign a provided service to a category:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Catalog Management Screen. To navigate to the Catalog Management screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling™ Business Center as an Item Administrator.
    2. The application home page is displayed. Click the Products tab.
    3. From the Products home page, click Manage Catalogs in the Catalog dashlet.
    4. The Catalog List screen is displayed. Click the Catalog ID hyperlink corresponding to the catalog for whose category you want to assign an item.

      The Catalog Management screen is displayed.

  2. From the Catalog Hierarchy tree, select the category for which you want to assign a provided service.
  3. The Items and Services panel is displayed. Click Add Service.
  4. The Basic Service Search dialog box is displayed. Perform the following steps:
    1. Enter the search criteria.
    2. Click Search.
    3. From the Services panel that is displayed, select the check box adjacent the provided service you want to assign to the category. To assign multiple services, select the check box adjacent the required provided services.
    4. Click Select.

      The selected services are displayed in the Items and Services panel in the Catalog Management screen.
