Add a postfix to an attribute value

A postfix is an operator that is appended to the assigned value of an attribute. For example, the Screen Size attribute can have a value of 26 inches. The numeral 26 is the number attribute value, and inches is the postfix.

About this task

You can add a postfix to the Postfix drop-down list in the Manage Attribute Details panel when creating an attribute or after creating an attribute.

To add a postfix:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Attribute Management screen. To navigate to the Attribute Management screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling Business Center as an Item Administrator.
    2. The application home page is displayed. Click the Products tab.
    3. From the Products home page, click Manage Attributes in the Catalog dashlet.

      The Attribute Management screen is displayed.

  2. From the Item Attributes tree, select a number attribute whose postfix you want to manage.

    The Number Attribute Properties panel is displayed.

  3. In the Related Tasks panel, click Attribute Details.
  4. The Attribute Details panel is displayed. Click Manage Postfix.
  5. The Manage Post Fixes dialog box is displayed. Click Add.
  6. The New Value dialog box is displayed. Perform the following steps:
    1. In the Value* box, enter the identifier of the value.
    2. In the Short Description* box, enter a brief description of the value.
    3. In the Description box, enter a detailed description of the value.
    4. Click Save.
  7. In the Attribute Management screen, click Save.

    Note: * indicates that the field is mandatory.

    The new postfix is displayed in the Postfix drop-down list in the Manage Attribute Details panel.
