Integrating with other applications by using IBM Data Exchange

You can integrate Sterling Order Management System Software with applications such as IBM® Sterling Intelligent Promising (SIP), which subscribes to Sterling Order Management System Software data through IBM Data Exchange (ODX).

When integrated, Sterling Order Management System Software can send order, product, and ship node data to the subscribing applications. The integration is enabled through IBM Data Exchange, a common data exchange platform where Sterling Order Management System Software publishes data in the form of events. The consuming applications can subscribe to these events in ODX to receive the data.

Benefits of using ODX

The benefits of using ODX for the integration include:
  • A common data exchange platform reduces the cost that is incurred by businesses for independent integration of each of the applications with Sterling Order Management System Software. Also, you can share business data between the IBM Data Exchange-enabled products that you already own, without the expense, delay, and complication of custom integrations.
  • Setting up multiple integrations of Sterling Order Management System Software with different applications is avoided.
  • Data need not be published multiple times, regardless of the number of subscribing applications.
