Reprocessing an exception group

You can reprocess all exceptions in the exception group if the APIs are defined as Reprocessible and in the appropriate exception state.

Procedure

  1. Click Exceptions in the menu.
  2. From the Search for list, select Exception group.
  3. Specify search criteria to find the exception group.
For more information about each field on the page, see Searching for exceptions or exception groups.
  4. Click Search.
  5. Click the group ID to go to the Exception group details page.
  6. From the Errors section, fix or ignore any specific exceptions as needed.
    Option Procedure
Ignore an exception from the list
    1. Select the checkbox for the Error that you want to ignore.
    2. Click Ignore from the Actions menu that appears in the table.
Modify the input XML of an exception
    1. Click the Error ID of the exception that you need to modify.
    2. Modify the Input XML and then click Save.
    3. Go back to the exception group by selecting Exception group details from the breadcrumb trail.
Note: The status of the exception on the Exception group details page is changed to modified. The newly saved exception record is not displayed in the Exception group details page but will be reprocessed as part of this group.
  7. Optional: On the Exception group details page, modify the Sequence number to change the order in which you want the system to reprocess the exceptions.
    • Increase the sequence number to move an error down the list (completed later in the sequence).
    • Decrease the sequence number to move an error up the list (completed earlier in the sequence).
Note: The sequence values are always displayed as multiples of 10, regardless of what numbers were entered. For example, assume that you have three exceptions and you resequence by using the values 1, 2, and 3. After a save, the resequenced exceptions appear as 10, 20, and 30 and are reprocessed starting with 10, then 20, then 30.
  8. Click Save if you modified the Sequence number.
  9. Click Reprocess all.
The exceptions in the group are added to the queue for reprocessing. When you reprocess a group, the system reprocesses all the Exceptions in the group by using the latest Input XML changes. You might need to refresh the page to see updates.
    • If reprocessing is successful, the individual exception states are changed to Fixed for all records in the Error history. The exception group state is also changed to Fixed.
    • If none of the related exceptions are in a processable state, you encounter an error. For example, if you set all exceptions to Ignore, then none of the exceptions are reprocessed.
    • If reprocessing fails, a new Error ID is created in the Error history section with the state Initial.
