Prerequisites

Review all the prerequisites and ensure that they are met before you set up the containerized developer toolkit environment.

Operating systems

The developer toolkit environment can be set up on the following operating systems:

Linux: Ensure that the Linux distribution software supports the most current Docker and Docker Compose. RHEL 8 is the suggested level.

macOS: Ensure that the macOS level is 10.13 High Sierra or later. For more information about prerequisites needed to set up the containerized developer toolkit on macOS, see Setting up containerized developer toolkit on macOS.; Important: The developer toolkit is certified on macOS with the newer ARM-based Apple Silicon chipset processor, such as Apple M1.

Note: Ensure that your system has a minimum of 16 GB memory. It is suggested to have 32 GB of memory.
