Defining a device subtype

A device subtype categorizes a device type.

For example, a device type of "printers" can be further categorized or subtyped into "HP LaserJet 5P," "Eltron," "Unimark," and "Zebra 170." Each individual subtype allows for device configuration and its respective parameters.

Other examples include subtypes of hand-held scanner models and equipment mounted models used under a device type of RF Scanners.
