Disabling automatic pricing rules for quotes
You can specify in an enterprise-level rule that you do not want automatic pricing rules to be executed in quote situations.
This additional control prevents the automatic application of retail discount pricing rules in quote negotiations, and is especially pertinent in large, B2B business negotiations. For example, a company that provides cable, internet, and phone services might offer a smaller business 50 internet connections and 40 phones lines at a specific discount. The sales team would not want regular retail pricing rules to interfere with their quote process.
Suppressing automatic rule execution for quotes can be applied globally across the enterprise. Note, however, that manual pricing rules and coupons will still be executed.
