Search for a business customer

As a System Administrator or an Enterprise Administrator, you can perform a basic customer search using the Customer Search screen.

About this task

To search for a business customer, use the following procedure:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Customer Search screen. To navigate to the Customer Search screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling Business Center as an administrator.
    2. From the Customer Home page, click Find Customer in the Customer dashlet.

      The Customer Search screen is displayed.

  2. In the Basic Customer Search panel, select Business Customer.
  3. In the Customer ID Contains box, enter the complete or partial identifier of the customer you want to search for.
  4. In the Company Starts With box, enter either the complete or the initials of the company you want to search for.
    Note: This search criteria is available only when you select the Business Customer radio button.
  5. In the E-mail Starts With box, enter either the complete or the initials, of the E-mail ID of the customer you want to search for.
  6. In the Day Phone box, enter either the complete or partial day phone number of the customer you want to search for.
  7. In the Postal Code box, enter either the complete or partial day postal code of the customer you want to search for.
  8. From the Order By drop-down list, select the alphabetical order in which you want the search results to be displayed.
  9. Click Search.

    The customers matching the search criteria are displayed. However, if there is only one customer matching the search criteria, the Primary Information screen is displayed.
