Export data from the source database

You can export data and configuration from a source database.

The process of exporting data from the source database includes:

  • Defining what data to extract
  • Extracting the data
  • Transferring the data in compressed format to the target environment
  • Importing the data into the target environment

The following types of data are extracted from the source:

Configuration Data

Configuration data, which includes both HUB and Enterprise-specific configuration, is exported completely.

Note: Customer data and customer organizations are not exported by Data Sync. Customer organizations are identified as those with IS_BUYER set to "Y". This results in organizations that support purchase orders being excluded from synchronization.

Master Data

Master data contains information about catalog, pricing, users, and other data. The Master data is grouped into different categories called TableGroups. Master data exports can be filtered using queries.
