Assign a manual pricing rule to stores

After a manual pricing rule is created, a pricing organization user can assign the manual pricing rule to stores of the corresponding enterprise.

About this task

When a manual pricing rule is assigned to a store, this manual pricing rule will be used to adjust the prices applied to quotes pertaining to that store.

Note: Only a user belonging to pricing organization or store organization can assign a manual pricing rule to stores.

To assign a manual pricing rule to specific stores:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Manual Pricing Rule Summary screen. To navigate to the Manual Pricing Rule Summary screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling Business Center as Pricing Administrator.
    2. The application home page is displayed. Click the Pricing tab.
    3. From the Pricing home page, click Find Manual Pricing Rule in the Pricing dashlet.
    4. The Manual Pricing Rule Search screen is displayed. Enter the search criteria and click Search to perform a basic search. Alternatively, click Advanced Search, enter the search criteria, and click Search to perform an advanced search.
    5. The manual pricing rules matching the search criteria are displayed. Click the Rule ID hyperlink or double-click the row corresponding to the manual pricing rule. The Manual Pricing Rule Summary screen is displayed.
      Note: If only one manual pricing rule matches the search criteria, the details of the corresponding manual pricing rule are automatically displayed.
  2. Under the Assign To Sellers tab, specify the assignments for the manual pricing rule by selecting one of the following options:
    • This manual pricing rule is not assigned to any seller: Select this option to assign the manual pricing rule to stores at a later point of time. If you select this option, the products and the prices in the manual pricing rule will not be applicable to any stores of the enterprise.
    • This manual pricing rule is applicable to all sellers: Select this option to assign the manual pricing rule to all the stores. If you select this option, the products and the prices in the manual pricing rule will be applicable to all the stores of the enterprise.
    • This manual pricing rule is applicable to the following sellers: Select this option to assign the manual pricing rule to different types of stores. For example, stores belonging to specific region.

    The following table describes the tabs that are displayed under the This manual pricing rule is applicable to the following customers option:

    Tab Description
    Specific Assignments Select this tab to assign the manual pricing rule to the stores belonging to specific organization.
    Region Based Assignments Select this check box to assign the manual pricing rule to all the stores of the specific region.
    Note: The Specific Assignments and Region Based Assignments tabs will be enabled only if you select This manual pricing rule is applicable to the following sellers assignment.
  3. Under the Specific Assignments tab, add the organization to which you want to assign the manual pricing rule. To add an organization, perform the following tasks:
    1. Click Add.
    2. The Organization Search window is displayed. Enter the appropriate search criteria and click Search.
    3. The Organization Code and Organization Name matching the search criteria are displayed in the Organizations panel. Select the check boxes corresponding to the organizations you want to add and click Save.
  4. Under the Region Based Assignments tab, add the region to which you want to assign the manual pricing rule. To add a region, perform the following tasks:
    1. Click Add.
    2. The Regions window is displayed. Select the appropriate region from the Find Region hierarchy and click Select.
  5. Click Save.
