Creating an item's cost posting classification

You can create an item's cost posting classification.

About this task

To create an item's cost posting classification:

1. From the tree in the application rules side panel, choose Products > Item Attributes > Cost Posting Classifications. The Cost Posting Classifications Types window displays in the work area.
2. Choose the Create New icon. The Cost Posting Classification Details pop-up window displays.
3. In Cost Posting Classification, enter the value you want to use for the item's financial ledger group classification.
4. In Short Description, enter a brief description of the cost posting classification.
5. In Long Description, enter a more detailed description of the cost posting classification.
6. Choose the Save icon.
