Removing the Everyone Group from the System Administrator role

About this task

After adding the sscap/SYSTEM group to the System Administrator role, remove the Everyone group from the System Administrator role:

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Cognos® Connection portal as a System Administrator.
  2. Go to Tools > Directory and select the IBM® Cognos Analytics namespace.
  3. Locate System Administrators in the list of roles, and click the Set Properties icon in the Action column.
  4. Select the Members tab. Select Everyone, and click Remove.

Results

The result is that only users who have permission to access the Sterling Business Intelligence Administrator have administrative capabilities in IBM Cognos Analytics.
