Assigning an alert to a queue

Assign an alert to a queue to direct the alert to a specific group of users. These users can view and close alerts. You can also use queues to prioritize alerts if you set a queue priority. Alerts in high priority queues appear at the top of the alert search results. You can escalate an alert by assigning it to a queue of higher priority. Users who are subscribed to the queue can also see the alert from the Home page Alerts widget.

Note: You can only assign alerts to a queue that you are subscribed to. To subscribe to a queue, use the Applications Manager and go to Application Platform > Queue Management.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. Click Alerts from the menu and search for the alert that you want to assign.
  3. Assign the alert to a queue.
    You can assign an alert to a queue from various places.
    • From the Alert search results page, you can assign multiple alerts to a single queue.
      1. Select one or more rows for the alerts that you want to assign.
      2. Click Assign to queue from the table header.
      3. Choose a queue and then click Save.
    • From the Alert details page.
      1. Select Actions > Assign to queue.
      2. Choose a queue and then click Save.
