Associating delivery requests

Some items need special last mile delivery accommodations. Last mile delivery accommodations include different handling procedures from standard deliveries. For example, delivering a refrigerator to the basement of a house. You can associate a delivery service to be completed for the specific item.

To associate a delivery request, the item must be configured with available services. For more information, see step 4.

To add a delivery request at the order-level for items that are not configured with available services, see Adding delivery requests.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. Click Orders and search for the order that you want to update.
  3. Select a search result to go to the Order details page.
    Items that can be associated to a delivery request are indicated by a truck icon Delivery truck icon with a plus sign attached to the order line number.
  4. Click the truck icon (Delivery truck icon with a plus sign) or select Actions > Associate delivery request.
    A list of items in the order are displayed. Items that can be associated with a delivery service include a carat beside the item number. Click the carat to expand the row and view the delivery services. The options that appear are based on the associations that are configured in Applications Manager or Sterling™ Business Center.   5. Select the delivery services to associate with the item.
  6. Click Done.
    The services are added to the Order details page > Delivery requests table.
  7. Create a work order to schedule the service. For more information, see Creating a work order.
