What's new in Version 1.1.0
IBM Optim Data Privacy Version 1.1.0 is the initial release of the product.
IBM Optim Data Privacy is a modernization of the legacy IBM InfoSphere® Optim software.
Explore the key capabilities introduced in this release of IBM Optim Data Privacy:
Connecting to data
Connect to a wide range of enterprise and cloud data sources, including IBM Db2®, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and MongoDB using a streamlined connectivity interface with built-in validation and SSL support.
For details, see Connecting to data.
Creating masked data subsets
Define access definitions visually by selecting source tables and discovering relationships. Apply context-aware masking to protect PII and sensitive data while preserving format and referential integrity. Masking is integrated into the flow builder tool and supports data privacy and compliance.
For details, see Masking data and Creating data subsets.
Masking data with an advanced de-identification API
You can now complete advanced data masking by using the IBM Optim Data Privacy API for de-identification. You can protect sensitive information by replacing original values with masked values while preserving format, referential integrity, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
For details, see Advanced data masking by using the IBM Optim Data Privacy API.
Building and running flows
Use the flow builder tool's flexible, easy-to-use canvas to define your IBM Optim Data Privacy data extraction flows. Define connections, access definitions, subsets, masking policies, and targets, and then connect them in an intuitive, visual flow. Run a flow whenever you're ready to kick off the pipeline job.
For details, see Building an IBM Optim Data Privacy flow.
