Prerequisites

Before you install IBM Open XL C/C++ for AIX 17.1.4, you must meet the prerequisites.

The prerequisites are as follows:

Become either the root user or a user with administrator privileges.
Ensure that system prerequisites such as disk space and operating system are met.
Prepare the electronic distribution package.
Optional: Preview the installable compiler filesets, license agreements, and default installation process.
