Prepare the custom keystore for the upgrade or migration
If you are upgrading from 9.0.x and you use a custom encryption keystore, you must do some steps before you upgrade or migrate. Do this task before you install IBM® Semeru Runtimes.
You have two options:
- Disable the custom keystore before you upgrade or migrate and create a new keystore after you complete the upgrade or migration to 9.2.x. With this option, data is encrypted with the default encryption key until you complete the upgrade or migration and create a new custom keystore. See Option 1: Disabling the custom keystore.
- Migrate the keystore to the PKCS12 format, and then upgrade or migrate. With this option, data
remains encrypted during the upgrade or migration process. See Option 2: Migrating a custom encryption keystore to PKCS12.Note: If you're using 3DES encryption, you must change the encryption key to AES before you migrate the keystore to PKCS12 format.
