Translating Button Text

Typically text buttons on the prompt page do not require localization because it is handled by the reporting tool. On the other hand, if you create your own prompt button you might need to localize its text.

Procedure

  1. Identify the button that you wish to localize.
  2. Select a Text Item from the toolbox and complete the following steps.
    1. Drop the Text Item on the button.
    2. Enter Update Line of Business as the default text string.
    3. In the properties pane of the Text Item, enter the condition variable Localization as the Text Source Variable property.
  3. In the Condition Explorer, complete the following steps.
    1. While the Text Item is selected, select each language in the Localization variable that you wish to specify.
    2. Enter the appropriate text string in the Text property.
    3. Repeat for each language you wish to specify.
  4. To view the report, complete the following steps.
    1. Log in using a user whose locale is different than the current user.
    2. Run the report.
